I was given a Kodak Starflash camera at age 9, and have been taking photographs ever since.
My photographic work began in earnest in 1973 with the acquisition of an Olympus Penn 35 SPn rangefinder and, a little later, a Minolta XE-7 SLR.
I took many of the pictures on this site with these.
From the start, I was attracted to the unnoticed and ephemeral in the environment…

Capturing the overlooked is not unknown in the realm of photography, but my work aspires to bring an art sensibility to ignored subject matter. Sometimes this happens intuitively, sometimes by design.
